More to the story please.
Did it hurt during the operation, what about the recovery? Did you have to keep them closed for a while, is it expected to remain at this strength or degrade with time?

#NDP Prasad
Is that Rs. 11.5k? Where did you do the operation?
Recently I started using contacts and so far I like them.
rajanchinna | Thurs, 17 Jul 2008 20:13:00 GMT |
I have done in Trichy, Tamil Nadu,India. Cost is Less Rs9999 for Operation and about Rs1200 for medicine.
Operation is just 4 minutes, 2 mins for Wright and 2 mins for left. No pain, we have to see the Red color laser Light.
you can do anything but you should not touch, except for the drops and no use of water for Head for 5 days to avoid infection, you can use hot water or mineral water to clean your eyes.
You can shave in the next day itself but should not watch TV or Computer or Newspaper for atleast 3 days,I just watched news for 20 mins.
You can start working for 8-9hrs after 5-7 days.
It is better to avoid swimming for atleast 1 month.
There are 5 steps
1.Testing your retina,cornea strength.
2.operation.
3.Day 1 Test(Used drops for once in 2 hrs)
4.Day 7 Test.(Drops in thrice a day after 7-14 days, twice14-21,after 21-30 once)
5.Day 30 Test.
2 Drops used
1. To avoid infection
2.Tears Natural
It is 13th day for me now I dont have any problem, Iam coming to office from monday.

It wont degrade with time, I know people with 10 years doing fine.
This operation is only for people 21+ age, because the power will be stabilized at that age,it wont increase.
It is not related to old age vission problem.

Lasik is Old tech and ZYOptics is latest.
Zyoptics beam is more harmless. But the operation techniques is same.

Hey Prasad,Good to know that you have a great eye sight now...Congrats
?
I am surprised to hear that the cost was just 11k,one of my friend underwent a similar laser operation in Chennai and he said the cost touched 1 lakh...Is the cost of operation directly proportional to the power of eye...
Can you share the name of the Trichy hospital ...?How much do the other hospitals in Chennai charge for the same operation..? any idea...?
ramboprasad | Thurs, 17 Jul 2008 20:17:00 GMT |
Different hospitals are charging different prices..the cost of the instrument is around 2.5 crore, It is better to do where they handle lot of patients, will be cheap also.
1 lakh is too high now...max should be 30 i heard.
Madurai Aravind and Trichy AG ,Vasan are doing in large numbers.
They are doing free for lot of old poor people.
I done it in AG(A.Govindarajan eye hospital)...
